Marrissa Macaraeg

I don't just design.

I make things that move

between worlds.

Marrissa Macaraeg

"Moving between screen and surface with equal fluency."

Rooted in a profound love of color, pattern and print, Marrissa Macaraeg creates multimedia art designed to be both uplifting and enduring. Her work centers on a richly decorative aesthetic, drawing quiet inspiration on historic textile craft. The result is a distinctive balance of heritage craftsmanship and refined modern sensibility.

Originally from San Francisco, Marrissa studied at San Francisco State University to complete her Bachelor's of Art in Fine Arts, with an emphasis on painting and art history. With over two decades shaping visual identities for global brands — Athleta, Old Navy, Gap Inc., JanSport and Pottery Barn — she brings a focus on producing timeless, high-craftsmanship designs with a curated eye.

Beyond the studio, Marrissa is the author of children's books, an app developer and painter, extending her creative vision into storytelling and technology. Her oil paintings reflect the same rich sense of color and composition that defines her commercial work- textured, layered and rich in mark-making.

Bay Area based, she partners with brands and clients who value thoughtful design rooted in craftsmanship and creative strategy.
